Ethel Williams was born in Shubuta, Mississippi. She confessed Christ at the age of 19. She was a
resident of mobile for 35 years upon moving to Mobile, she joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church
under the leadership of Rev. R. L. Nelson and later under Rev. Walter Vasser. She was a very faithful
member serving in many capacities. She later move her membership to Holmes Street Baptist Church
under leadership of Rev T.J. Hatcher. Later in life Sister Ethel and her husband Bro. Randolph Williams
became Charter members of Forest Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor J. Lamont Jones
and now Pastor James Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents Etha B Russell and father Leon Gates Sr. Three sisters Daisy
Kennedy, Ida McCarty, Callie Stewart, and one devoted brother Leon Gates Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband Randolph M. Williams. A host of nieces and
nephews Ida McCarty, Albert Gates one devoted nephew Letroy (Latise) McClain, Letroy Jr , and
Alexus(Joseph) French. Two goddaughters Aaliyah Hector, and Jada Robinson. A host of other family and
friends.
