Frances Jean McBride , a native of Mobile, AL resided in Stoneville, North Carolina. She accepted Christ at a youthful age at Nazaree Baptist Church. Throughout her life she sang with Nazaree Junior Quintet, The Keystone Singers, Jean Green and the Consecrated and the Spirit of Heaven Singers. She traveled with various gospel groups such as the Caravans, Shirley Ceasar, The Soul Stirrers and the Nightingales.
She retired after 32 years from J and J Construction Company.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents Hubert Grissett Sr and Lillie B. McCall Grissett. Her loving husband Lawyer McBride. Brothers: Nathaniel McCall, Leonard Grissett, Hubert Grissett Jr, Ross Grissett and Robert McCall Jr. Sisters: Ethel McCall and Gwedolyn Grissett.
Frances leaves to cherish her memories five children: Debra S. Parker of Mobile, Freda McCurdy of Stoneville, NC, Benita ( Edward ) Jones of Mobile, Seodis Walker of Stoneville NC, and Alonzo ( Miranda ) Walker of Stafford VA. Three sisters: Sylvia Denson, Irene Miles and Nellie Allen: Brothers: Robin (Maxine) Grissiett and Alfred Grissett all of Mobile, AL. Nine Grandchildren: Latonya Williams of Charlotte, NC., Carl McCurdy Jr of Palo Alto, CA, Alicia Howell, Trevis (Amber) Payton, Quintavia ( Kendrick) Wooten, Vanise Walker of Atlanta, Kevin ( Paris ) Parker, Kierra Jones, Alonzo Walker Jr and Trinity Morris of Stafford VA. Ten Great-grandchildren : Jared Williams, Mobile, AL. Jazmine Williams, J’Kayla Williams of Charlotte, NC, Jordynn Burrell, Jayden Wooten, Ja’nya Wooten, Kenleigh Wooten, Kolin Parker, Jersey Land, and Karson Parker all of Mobile, AL. Five Great grandchildren Jarrell Williams Amore Alani Jurdyn Will Brooklyn . Devoted Cousins: Mary English of Lorraine, OH ,Isaac McCall of Achron, OH, Andre Russell and Dorothy Bridget of Mobile, AL.
