To the Marshall Family, I attended high school with Fred though he was two grades above me. He was friendly to me and encouraging. Whenever I came home to Mobile I would see him at The Elks Club and he would sit with me and wanted to know what was going on in my life. His friendly attitude will never be forgotten by me.

Gods Blessings,
Dwight Williams

To the Family. I am sorry for your loss and hope this scripture bring some comfort at this time.
Revelation 21:4-
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes,+ and death will be no more,+neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.+ The former things have passed away.”

Over the years Fred Marshall was my boss, my mentor, my colleague and most of all my FRIEND. As a teacher at Booker T Washington when he was principal, he encouraged me to get my administrative degree. I remember his words, "Tom, you need to get your administrative degree, you would be a good administrator, and you owe it to your family." When he moved to LeFlore as principal he hired me as his assistant principal. I'm sure he had to pull some strings to make that happen, but he was good at pulling string. I remember many afternoons between the end of school and a basketball or football game that we sat in his office at LeFlore and talked. Three great years and many learning opportunities during this time. The opportunity for me to become principal of Vigor after those three years. I'm sure he had a hand in this happening. Principals at rival schools for nine years, but never rivals. Back together for another year as Executive Directors at central office before I moved to Georgia. I will never forget his influence on my life. Did I say FRIENDS? More like Brothers! Thank you Fred Marshall. Continued prayers for Brenda and family.
