Grady Dortch, III was the first born of three sons to the union of Pastor
Grady & Mrs. Clevera Marie Dortch on February 15, 1965 in Mobile, AL.
During his childhood, he attend Church with his parents and was brought
up in the ways of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a great friend to
many and loved spending time with his family.
He attended Sidney Phillips Middle School and Shaw High School.
He transition from his earthy home to his eternal home on Thursday,
February 20th, 2020.
Grady Dortch, III was preceded in death by his grandmother and
grandfather, Jim & Tempie M. Dickinson, one brother, Melvin Tyrone
Dortch, four uncles, Jerry Dickinson, Patrick Pettway, C.W. Pettway and
Nathaniel Irby, three aunts, Betty Rex, Essie Falconer and Paralee
McCants.
He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Ashley M. Dortch, three
grandsons, Aiden, Ashton and Akeem, parents, Pastor Grady & Mrs.
Clevera Marie Dortch, one brother, Carlton L. Dortch, nine uncles, Johnny
Dortch, Emanuel Dortch, Perry (Aquanita) Dickinson, Jimmy (Cassie)
Dickinson, James Dickinson, David Dicksinson, Peter C. Petteay, Shawn
H. Shabazz and Saleem Shabazz, four aunts, Annie Allen, Peggy (Earl)
Purifoy, Hazel (Russell) Heidelberg and Eartha Young. Devoted friends,
Minister Guy Rand, Theodore Watson and Ernestine Pritchett. A host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
