Obituary for Harold Wayne Thompson

Harold Wayne Thompson was a 1974 graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School and a United States Navy veteran. He was a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, born October 12, 1954 and departed this life on May 10,
2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon, Sr., and Annie Mae Thompson; three brothers: Roosevelt, Edgar, and Hercules; four sisters: Edith Moreland, Jessie Nell Wilks, Verdell Pelmore, and Agalena Reed.
Harold’s survivors include one brother Napoleon, Jr (Gloria) Thompson, Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters: Queenie (Anthony) Griffin, Cleveland, Ohio; Elaine (Leroy) Curry, Mobile, Alabama; and Shirley Battle, Columbia, South Carolina. A special brother-in-law and cousin, Leroy Curry and Cleophus Tate, respectively; and a host of other relatives and friends. For several years, friends and neighbors enjoyed the special love, kindness, and services of Harold. He offered unlimited devotion to helping seniors with yard work and many other chores. While others enjoyed and appreciated his love and caring support, as he provided them with transportation and shelter in times of need and crisis. Our family and friends will miss Harold’s Christlike character and behavior.
