Hazel King Longmire (August 16, 1924- April 22, 2020) a native of Clarke County, Alabama and a resident of Eight Mile, Alabama passed on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Sister Longmire accepted Christ early in her life at St. Luke Baptist Church in Walker Springs, Alabama. She later united with Union Baptist Church of Plateau, Alabama for over 60 years where she served faithfully until her health failed. Sister Longmire was preceded in death by her son, Solomon Michael Longmire; husband, Solomon Leroy Longmire and her fourteen siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories a very devoted grandson Johnathan P. Donaldson, an adopted daughter, Laura Phillips both of Mobile, Alabama; family friends: Jacquelyn Brown, Mabeline Stevenson, Jamie Coleman, and Christopher Reed; devoted neighbors: the Browns, McCants, Taylors, and Yates; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
