Henrie Mae Wilcox
April 13, 1942 - June 4, 2022
On June 4, 2022, the Angel of God whispered:
“Henrie, come now and take your rest.”
Henrie Mae Wilcox, a native of Lisman, Alabama and a lifelong
resident of Mobile, Alabama was born on April 13, 1942 to
Tencie Curtis and James Lutin. She departed this earthly life on
Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile,
AL.
Henrie Mae was a devoted, faithful and life member of the Saint
Luke Missionary Baptist Church. She served faithfully in the
Mission Department, The Finance Office, The Kitchen and The
Inspirational and Women’s Chorus.
Henrie Mae worked for Frank and Carolyn McRight in the
SpringHill Community for many years. Then later at Tabs Kiddie
College where she worked as the cook. Henrie Mae was a
Wedding Caterer upon her retirement. The Best Cook Ever!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Tencie Curtis; father,
James Lutin; husband of fifty-eight years, Arthur William Wilcox,
Sr.; sister, Sharon Lutin; and her children: 1SG Anthony
Lawrence Wilcox, Sr. and Angela Denise Wilcox-Jackson.
Henrie Mae leaves to cherish her precious memories to her three
devoted children: Arthur W. Wilcox, Jr., Charles Wilcox and
Tencie Wilcox; step-daughter, Veronica (Dwight) MaGee; her
sister, Lavaron Lutin Graham; two devoted cousins: Altha
Coleman and Jackie Porter; sisters-in-law: Inell (Phillip) Bush,
Nancy Lee, Ida Mae Jackson and Annie Bell Hunter; brother-in-
law, William Wilcox, Sr.; eleven grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren, one devoted, Anthony LeCarl Wilcox; a host of
loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
