Obituary for Hilliard J Williams

Hilliard Jefferson Williams, A native of Tyler, Alabama, in Lowndes County, and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL born April 25, 1929, transitioned from this life for eternity on December 5, 2015.

He was a member of First Baptist Missionary Baptist Church. Hilliard was born to the union of the late Leonard Percy and Flossie Oliver Williams.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 46 years, Birdie Mae Morris Williams, son, Prentice M. Williams and his siblings, Leonard Fred, Annie Louise, Rev. Henry, Bertha, Mattie, Benjamin, Oliver, and Letha.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Jeffrey D (LuTrisha) Williams, Tarra M. (Roosevelt) Harris, Vincent T. Williams and Jadice M. (Patrick) Mitchell; grandchildren, Tynelle (Elissica), LaKia (Lloyd, Jr.), JeVashia, Veon, Arion, Aaron and Aarinton; great grandchildren, Lloyd, III, Prentice, Landon and Logan; a special and devoted friend, Helen Collins; brothers-in-law, Elbert, Marshall, Walter, and Gregory (Geraldine) Morris; sisters-in-law, Hattie, Annie, Johnnie Mae, Rosina, Aggie, Janette (Herlis), Faydene and Arilla; God children, Ertes Maxie, Vincent Davidson and Demetria Tate; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

His remains will lie in state on Friday December 11, 2015 from 1pm until 8pm at Small’s Mortuary. Visitation will be held on Saturday December 12, 2015 beginning at 9am, the family will receive friends from 10:30am until the 11am funeral hour at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2756 Old Shell Rd. Mobile, AL, Rev. Melvin Clark, officiating Pastor. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
