Mrs. Irene B. Stamps
On April 21, 2023 an Angel of God whispered
"Come now and take your rest"
Irene was born August 10, 1925 and died peacefully on April 21, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Stamps.
Irene attended Tuskegee University and retired from St. Paul School after many years of service.
Mrs. Stamps was a dedicated member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for many years. She served as vice president of St. Francis Cabrini Altar Society and was chair for many events with the Altar Society. She was a lifetime member of Knights of St. Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Count #350.
Irene was very active and in her pastime enjoyed many community activities, including Mardi Gras and water aerobics.
Memories of Irene will be cherished by her goddaughter Wanda McGilberry (Vanessa Green), Wanda King (dedicated friend), co- workers at St. Paul School, dedicated neighbors and her Church family.
