Obituary for Isiah Franks

Rev. Isiah Franks-- a native of Buckatuna, MS and a resident of Mobile, born February 6, 1930 to the late Mark Franks and Etta Gaston, departed this life Friday, November 24, 2006. He confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Izetta Franks Kyles, three brothers, and two sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, of fifty-six years, Pearlie M. Lockhart Franks, three daughters, Beverly Lorraine Franks, Cynthia (Orlando) Baldwin, and Eunice F. Mitchell, three sons, Rev. Lee A. Franks, Rev. Louis (Carolyn) Franks, all of Mobile and Henry Franks, Stateline, MS., five brothers, Johnny, Chunchula, AL., Mark, Cleo, Anthony and Timothy, two sisters, Ella Mae all of Mobile, and Peggy Franks, CA., sixteen grands, ten great-grands, god-daughter, god-son, church family of twenty-eight years Little Welcome Baptist Church, Silverhill, AL., A host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, in-laws and a faithful barber Rev. Paul Davis and friends. At the family request, please make donations to the Hospice Center in your area, Thanks to Scott Brooks and Mammie Dickerson, and SAAD's Hospice Team and Caregivers. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Friday, December 1, 2006 from 1-8pm and Saturday, December 2, 2006 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour, Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Reddy St. Interment Gethsemane, Mobile.
