Mother Jacqueline K. Jackson, born June 5, 1948 of Mobile, Alabama accepted her
wings May 10,2021. Jackie, as some called her, was born to the late John David
King Sr and Charletta Mae King. She graduated from The Most Pure Heart of Mary
High School in Mobile, Alabama.
Mother Jackson was a faithful and devoted member of Greater Showers of
Blessing Church of God in Christ for 31 years, under the leadership of Prophet
Charles Buchanan. She served as the church secretary for 21 years and held the
position of the Women’s Department President for 13 years.
Mother Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, John David King Sr and
Charletta Mae King; brother, Joseph Mixon; niece, Sonja Williams; and godson
Elder Robert Fields.
Mother Jackson leaves to cherish her sweet memories, one daughter Yemallia
Williams, Mobile, AL; two sisters, Evangelist Rose (Michael) Loftin, Mobile, AL,
which served as her caregiver; Dr. Bernadette (Eric) Bumpers Sr, Olive Branch,
MS; five brothers, John (Sherry) King Jr, Columbia, SC; Jimmie King, Mobile, AL;
John King Jr, Pensacola, FL; James (Patricia) King, Cincinnati, OH; and William
Fantroy, Lumberton, NJ. ; five goddaughters Marquand Martin, Baton Rouge, LA;
Kimberly Thomas, Lisa Petty, Caleah Beverly, and Nah’ Yawnah Evans, all of
Mobile, AL.; two godsons, Matthew Shearls, Mobile, AL; and Eric Bumpers Jr,
Aurora, CO.
Special friends, Regenia Johnson, LaRita Scott, and Evangelist Inez Thomas; a
devoted cousin, Mary Gross; Greater Showers of Blessing Church family, a host of
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
