James Lawrence (creamy) Brooks was born to the union of Luvret Glanton and Gerald F. Brooks on September 3, 1946 in Massillon, OH.
James served his country in the United States Army drafted right out of high school and completed two tours, conquering administration and Guard. James worked for ten ears at the Tennessee Maximum Security Prison as a guard.
James met Virginia Greene at an early age, and they married each other after a long courtship September 1, 2000. To this union James Lawrence Greene, Sr. was born in 1971.
James was preceded in death by his fathers, Gerald F. Brooks, Nelson White, his son James Lars brooks, three brothers Tyrese Glanton, Gerald F. Brooks and Jeffrey White, a sister Cynthia Brooks and grandson Terry Sherrell.
James leaves to cherish his loving memories a devoted wife of 19 years, Virginia Brooks, of Foley, AL; his mother Luvret Glanton of Nashville, TN; step-mother Bernice Brooks, of Foley, AL: 2 sons, James L. (Stacey) Greene , Sr., Foley, AL; Teryl A. (Shelia) Smith of Washington, DC; 3 daughters, Nicole Sherrell and Kimberly Jones of Nashville, TN; and Rita Brooks of Hall, TN; 6 brothers, Benjamin (Barb) Brooks, Jerry ( Katie) Glanton, and Luvell L.
