We wish to announce the passing on to glory of Dr. James Gicheha Njeng'ere of Nakuru, Kenya. Until his death, he taught at the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science in Mobile, Alabama, USA. Dr. Njeng'ere died in a tragic road accident on Thursday, 19th March 2020. He is survived by his wife Agnes Njeri Gicheha of Nakuru, Kenya, daughters Keziah Wambui Muatha (Benjamin Muatha) of Toronto Canada, Ruth Njeng'ere Lehmann (Joel Lehmann) of Bern, Switzerland, Eva Mwara Kariuki (Daniel Kubai) of Nairobi, Kenya and son Isaac Njeng'ere of Mobile Alabama. He has left behind seven beloved grandchildren: Mark, Manu, Mwikali, Baruch, Kai, Nduta and Njeri.

James was the fifth born son of the late Stephen Njeng'ere and the late Keziah Wambui Njeng'ere. The other siblings are Agostino Kimani, Elizabeth Mwara Ngugi and belated brothers: Benjamin Njenga, Josephat Njuguna and Samuel Mburu.
Funeral arrangements are being held in Mobile, Alabama and Nakuru, Kenya for repatriation of the body to Kenya, his final resting place.
