Obituary for Jannice Thompson

Jannice Thompson, born July 13, 1951 to the union of the late Percy K., Sr. and Velma Bradley Thompson. At an early age she confessed Christ and joined the New Ship A.M. E. Zion Church, under the leadership of the late, Rev. J. B. Hughes, as an adult she served as the Christian Education Director and worked in the kitchen. She continued her Christian journey and later joined the Freewater Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Dennis B. Bennett, there she served as the Pastor’s Aide President and on the kitchen staff until the time of her demise. She was a 1969 graduate of St. Elmo High School, after High School she worked as a Seamstress, in the Seafood Industry and as a Cook before becoming disabled.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy K. Sr., and Velma B. Thompson, one sister, Villiera A. Thompson Jones, one brother, Patrick Kerry Thompson, one niece, Jessica A. Jones and one nephew, Jaquarral Ridge, her best friend Alice M. Carter also precedes her in death.

She leaves to cherished her precious memories, two children, Angelicava M. Thompson Register, and Antwan T. Thompson. Two grandchildren, Demarquise T. Washington, and Deavionne S. Register, one honorary grandson, Kierstan A. Rogers, and one godchild, Iesha M. Thompson. She leaves seven siblings; Constella A. Thompson, Percy K. Thompson, Jr., (Evelyne Crawford), Lottie (Joseph) Rogers, Lynn E. Thompson, Sr., Gerald (Anzetta) Thompson, Sr., Bernita (George) Tolbert, Jr., and Maureen Thompson, and one aunt Ola Bradley. Four God-siblings, Dorothy Jones, Fonzetta Jones, Matthew (Linda) Jones, and Elbert (Lillie) Jones. A host of nieces and nephews and a special great niece Bailey M. Smith other relatives and friends.
