Obituary for Jenetta White Johnson

Mrs. Jenetta White Johnson, a native of Linden, AL was born
August 19, 1942 to the daughter of the late Mr. Johnnie L.
Coleman and Mrs. Beatrice R. Coleman. She departed this life
on Wednesday, May 20. 2020.
Mrs. Johnson moved to Mobile, AL in the early 1950’s and
graduated from Cedar Grove Academy in 1959. She attended
nursing school in Salem, AL which was the former Catholic
Sister Nursing Academy and graduated in 1961. After
graduation, she returned to Mobile where she was employed at
Mobile General Hospital for two years. Later, she was
employed at Providence Hospital where she retired with thirtyeight years of service.
She leaves to mourn her cherished memories, a devoted
husband, Mr. Charlie Ray Johnson, Sr.; three devoted children:
Daniel (Sherice) White, Sr. of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Jenester W.
Pettway of Mobile, AL and Michael Ray Johnson of
Jacksonville, FL; three caring step-children: Anderette McCall
and Valerie (Robert) Henson of East Elmhurst, NY and Charlie
Ray Johnson, Jr. of Mobile, AL; eight grandchildren: Daniel, Jr.
and Thaddeus White of Atlanta, GA, Marquis Johnson of
Marysville, WA, Jeniece Pettway and Micah Johnson of
Mobile, AL, Rayven Johnson of Greenville, SC, Kashaun
Keller and Shaneta (Robert) Brown of East Elmhurst, NY; two
great-grandchildren: Ariyanna and Zanire Brown of East
Elmhurst, NY; three brothers-in-law: Dr. Eddie R. (Ruby)
Johnson, Alphonso (Mary) Johnson and Curtis (Donna)
Johnson, Sr.; three loving cousins: Donald Blount and Beverly
Taylor of Mobile, AL and Helen Borden of GA; three devoted
friends: Rose Roberts, Mary Jones and Benita Rander of
Mobile, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
