Jessie Lee Welch was born August 17, 1938 in Burnt Corn, Alabama to the union of Virguse Lee, Sr. and Minnie Elvira Lee. She departed this earthly life at the hospital on Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Mobile, Alabama.

Jessie loved life and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virguse Lee, Sr. and Minnie Elvira Lee; three siblings: Maggie (Joe) Moore, Lola Kate (James) Rogers and Joe Leslie (Annie) Lee; eldest son: Marshall (Lubertha) Welch; and grandsons: Mario Vines and Ronitrick Welch.

Jessie leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters: Janice (William) Stanton and Brenda Vines; son: Aaron (Cassandra)
Welch; two devoted sisters: Rosetta Roberson and Carolyn (Johnnie) Locke; one brother: Virgus (Barbara) Lee, Jr.; fifteen
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; great-nieces, great- nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
