Obituary for Joby Jackson
Mr. Joby Jackson, age 78, a native of Mobile, Al was born December 28, 1944, to the parentage of the late Leila Mae Jackson Jones. He departed this life on April 13, 2023, at Springhill Medical Center.
He was a proud graduate of Central High School.
On Oct 7, 1978, he was united in holy matrimony to his loving and devoted wife of 44 years Mrs. Henrietta Mosley Jackson.
Joby worked as a Journeyman Carpenter until he became disabled in 1989.
He was preceded in death by siblings Betty Bates, Dora Lee, Archie Coats, and Ted Jones Many loving and cherished memories are left to his two daughters LaTanya (Tommy) Jackson Jones and Monique Jackson. Two grandchildren Kayleigh Jones and Morgan Jackson. Two sisters Dorothy Horton and Charlotte Jackson. Three brothers Ray Jones, Maxie Jones, and James Jones. A host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Devoted nephew Ray Jones Jr. Special nieces Charlotte Jackson, Kisha Vassar, Kimberly Barron, and Ashley Green. Great nieces Shyaunta Phillips, Amauri Snowden and Janae Jackson. Devoted son in law Tommy Jones and Devoted friend Horace Bonner Jr and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held April 22, 2023, at Small’s Mortuary Chapel at 2pm. Visitation hours from 12-2pm preceding services. Address 950 S. Broad St. Mobile Al 36603.
