Joe R. Bennett, a long time resident of Mobile, AL was born in Greenville, AL on February 21, 1932 to the late Travis "Fred" Douglas Horton Bennett and Marie Reese. He transitioned from this life on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, Michael Young, Curtis Reese, Burnell Washington, and son, Joseph Gibson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving long-time partner, Willie "Cookie'' Irby. Six loving children: Enc (Ruby) Bennett, Donald (Glaine) Gibson, Johnathan (Ina) Gibson, Romelda King, Rawanda (Tyrone) Goode, and Tawanna Watts; a devoted step daughter Alicia (Michael) Bryant Six siblings: Frainz "LC" Young, Ronnie Young Shelia Reese, Annette Reese, Hattie Love-joy, and Cherrye (Anderson ID) Also two loving and devoted God children Kevin and Becky Irby, a host of relatives.
