THE LIFE OF GOD SERVANT

Rev. John David McCampbell was born to the late Rev. Robert and Ola Mae McCampbell on July 6, 1947. He transition peacefully on Friday December 4, 2020. He was the fourth child of nine siblings five preceded

Him in death; Richard, Robert, Adullah, Cleophus and Nellie Mae. He also

Was preceded in death by the love of his life of 50 years Sandra Olivia

Thrash McCampbell.

John accepted Christ at a early age. He was a member of The First

Baptist Missionary Baptist Church of Baltimore Street under the leader-

Ship of Rev. Melvin Clark. He was the Pastor of the Olivet Missionary

Baptist Church.

John attended Whitley Elementary and Mobile County Training School. He was a graduate of Baldwin County Training School Class of

1965 where he served as President. John was a Veteran of the United States Army, the owner of Hairstyles Unlimited Beauty Salon on Duval

Street, founder and instructor of Alabama Barbering Academy and a proud member of the Williamson High School Booster Club.

John leaves to cherish his memories three devoted sons, Lamar

Antonio, Mario Racharl, and Cory Marcel (Robin) McCampbell; one foster son Derrick Finkley; one daughter Hope Olivia Robinson; two godchildren

Leslie Fritz and Abram James; seven grandchildren, Tyrus, Shakayla, Jamiah, D’Marion and Cory McCampbell Jr., Cayden and Cameron Robinson. Many adopted grandchildren. One great- grandchild Paisley

McCampbell. Four devoted sisters Hattie (Michael) Prince, Vivian (Richard) Jones, Willie Pearl McCampbell and Maria McCampbell. Four

Sisters-in-law Vivian Thrash, Alice Jones, Laura (Marvin) McDowell, and

Eunice (Eric) Reese; One brother-in-law Paul (Thelma) Thrash; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, Baldwin County Training School Class of 1965,his Olivet Missionary Baptist Church Family and many, many friends.
