John Walker Jr. - 74, a native of Womack Hill, AL, and a lifelong resident of Mobile, born January 5, 1933 to the late Mr. John and Phillippi Walker Sr., departed this life Saturday, June 2, 2007. He was preceded in death by sister, Catherine Bassett, three brothers, Joe Eddie, Charles and Otis Walker. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of forty-seven years Mrs. Lora Mae Walker, four sons. Sherman (Patrica) Walker, Nashville, TN, Joseph (Bessie) Walker, Lithia Springs, GA, Demetric (Yolanda) Walker, Stone Mountain, GA, Marvin (Bridgett) Walker, Irvington, AL; daughter, Valeria (Eleazar) Baker, Ellenwood, GA; sister, Alma Bumpers, Nashville, TN; two brothers, Curtis Walker, Chicago, IL, and Glenwood (Evelyn) Walker, Nashville,TN; ten grands, Jotoria, Jazber, Alexis, Briona, D'onna, Joseph Jr., Demetria, Janai, Anesa and Lauren, special devoted friend, Clayborne Earl Dinkins. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Friday, June 8, 2007 from 1-8pm and Saturday June 9, 2007 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Little Welcome Missionary Baptist Church, 1516 Wolf Ridge Rd. Interment in Gethsemane, North. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad St, Mobile, AL.
