Obituary for Joseph Boone
Joseph Boone was born August 17, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilhelmenia and Willie Cleveland and Nora Boone in Mobile, AL. He was called to rest on March 5, 2020 to continue a peaceful eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Joseph, affectionately known as “Joe”, “Boone”, and “Uncle Joe-Joe” was a member of New Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. He attended Josephine Allen High School (Class of 58) and served in the Marines from 1960-1964. He retired from Mobile Parks and Recreation after over 20 years of service. Joe was hardworking, generous and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory – five sisters: Shirley (Virgil) Wilson, Sharon (Roy) Williams, Deborah Cleveland, Charlotte Cleveland, Lindell Cleveland (Birmingham, AL), three brothers: Willie Charles (Barbara) Cleveland, James Cleveland (Birmingham, AL), Dennis Cleveland, Goddaughter Sherrell Davis, Brother/Cousin Charles Bush, Good neighbor and friend Brenda Austin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
