Joseph "Joe, Boy" Hardie-- a native and resident of Birmingham, Alabama was born February 2, 1942 to the late Lindsey and Irene Hardie, departed this life Monday, September 3, 2018.
Joe accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal savior at an early age at Jackson Street Baptist Church.
In 1969 he married the love of his life Geneva Johnson and the two became one.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory to his devoted wife of 49 years; Geneva Hardie, three children Lewanna (Barry) Gallagher, Carlton (LeKesha) Hardie and Precious Marcus, four precious grandchildren; Christian Marcus, Landon Hardie, Caleb Timmons, and Ashton Hardie, two sisters: Josephine Hardie and Grace Ruport, a host of nieces nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends
His remains will be in state Saturday, September 8, 2018 after 10 am until the 12 noon funeral hour at Grace Covenant Worship Center 3300 Wilson Road SW, Birmingham, Alabama 35221. Interment will follow in the Valhalla Cemetery, Birmingham, Alabama.
