JULIA MACK MOORE, a native of Camden, Alabama and a resident of Mobile, Alabama was born October 5, 1937 and departed this life on Sunday, September 23, 2018. She was the eighteenth of twenty children born to the union of Andrew McQuieter, Sr. and Elizabeth Frye McQuieter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David Moore, and other brothers and sisters.

Julia converted and gave her life to Christ at an early age at Mount
Gilead Baptist in Coy, Alabama, While in Mobile she joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was a faithful member on the Usher Board until her health started failing in early 2016.

Julia was a graduate of Camden Academy where she was a member of the chorus, a cheerleader, on the track and basketball team. Upon moving to Mobile she attended the Branch Community College (known as Bishop State Community College). She retired from Mobile Infirmary Hospital after 40 years as a Surgical Instrument Technician. She also worked at Providence and USA children’s & Women’s hospital on a part-time basis.

Julia met and married the love of her life, David Moore, and was blessed with five children. She was a living and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a caring and devoted mother to her nieces and nephews. Throughout her life she touched so many lives with her kindness, generosity, and love.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories five children, Patricia (Horace) Reynolds, Angelia Prichard all of Mobile, AL; Barbara (Oscar) Woodyard of Daphne, AL; David (Angelia) Moore, Sr. and Daniel Moore both of Mobile, Al; one devoted sister Elizabeth Moody of Camden, AL; 11 grandchildren, Tamika (Aaron) Jackson and Tausha (Charles) Hamilton both of San Antonio, TX; Feion McQuieter, Nikki Triplett, Jessica Triplett, Andreaus Bell, Monique Moore, David Moore II, Alex J. Moore, Lashandra Moore, and Gary Moore, all of Mobile, Al; numerous great-grandchildren; one devoted nephew James (Shirley) Knight and one devoted niece Doris Jean Allen both of Mobile, AL; a host of relatives and friends.
