Obituary for Karl Sanford Gardner

Mr. Karl Sanford Gardner was born January 30, 1972 in Foley, Al to Tommy C. Gardner and the late Corine Gardner. He transitioned from this life to his heavenly home, July 6th, 2019. Karl professed Christ as his savior and joined The Dream Center Church in Decatur, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor William Murphy. He was preceded in death by his mother as well as two sisters, Palmar (Raymond) Williams and Dessera O. Gardner.

Karl was a 1991 graduate of Foley High School then went on to earn multiple degrees and certificates as an Aeronautical Engineer. He loved his family and most of all being the LAUGH that everyone needed.

Karl leaves to cherish his exciting memories with his loving and devoted wife of 22 years Mrs. Tammy M. Gardner, three daughters: Tyra (Alfred) Hawthorne, Kiera S. Gardner, Ciera M. Gardner, three granddaughters: Madisyn, Saniya, and Amina. Karl also leaves to cherish his memories three sisters: Jackie (Louis) Dinkins, Evette M. Gardner, Sabrina A. Gardner and two brothers: Tommy C. Gardner and Bryant (Kela) Gardner, four aunts: Fannie Wilson, Elander Wilson, Lios Wilson and Fredricka (Ron) Burt. Eight uncles: Bro. Freddie (Joyce) Jackson, Bro. Earl Gardner, Bro Van (Angie) Gardner, Walter (daisy) Gardner .and Woodrow (Mary) Wilson, a host of nieces and nephews and one loving mother-in -law, Elizabeth Keil.

Even though I only knew Carl for a few years we instantly became close when we had a chance meeting in Jacksonville Florida. After we discovered we were related we were even closer and he was a great man to be around. He will be missed and I wish the family deepest condolences and may God bless you and keep you through this difficult time.
