Obituary for Katherine Elaine Loeb

Katherine E. Loeb passed peacefully on April 21, 2021. A resident of Mobile, Alabama who was affectionately known as 'Mama' and 'The House/Candy Decorating Lady'. She attended Toulminville High School, where she was an honor roll student and a member of the R.O.T.C. During her professional career, she attended airline school to be an airline stewardess and worked her remaining years for the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 35 years. Katherine was a passionate 'Roll Tide' fan.
She was a loving, caring, and wonderful daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend who will be dearly missed by her family and her community. She was born to the Union of Leon William Loeb Jr. and Minister Doris (Smith) Loeb on September 21, 1954. She is preceded in death by her father, Leon William Loeb Jr., and her brother, Carl Loeb.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memories, a loving and caring mother, Minister Doris S. Loeb, a loving and caring sister, Deborah (Keith) Williams from California, an uncle, Alvin Smith, a loving and caring nephew Dwaine (Dawn) Shephard, a devoted niece, Nicole (Terrence) Mosely, a nephew, Jasmone Williams, a cousin, Eugene Nelson and a host of loving relatives. In addition, a host of friends, Allen Coleman, Syndey Parker, Mary Browder, Wanda Pata, Brenda Riggins, and loving neighbors. She will lie in state Friday, April 30, 2021 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Small's, Mobile. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9:00am until the 11:00am funeral hour at Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 401 Donald St., Mobile, AL 36617. She will be laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
