Obituary for Kelly Edward Buck Sr.

Kelly E. Buck, Sr. was born March 1, 1963 in Mobile, AL and departed this life on Monday, January 21, 2019, at the age of 55. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie V.and Madrine D. Buck; his sister and brother-in laws: Judy A. and Dewey M. Bush, Antonio T. Lockett.
He entered Christ at an early age. Kelly was a devout Catholic and a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He attended Most Pure Heart of Mary and McGill Toolen Catholic High School. After graduating high school, he attended Xavier University, New Orleans, LA. He finished his education in Nursing at Bishop State Community College Mobile, AL. On August 11, 1990, he married his best friend and co-worker, Carmanaletta Lockett Buck
He was a home healthcare nurse for Saad’s and Alacare, and worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Mobile, AL as a Mental Health Nurse until his death. He was a baseball umpire for the city and county of Mobile. He enjoyed all sports he was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a Cincinnati Reds Fan. He enjoyed dancing with Steve’s Steppers, Steps Sisters and Brothers and The Gulf Coast Line Dancers.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years Carmanaletta L. Buck, two children, Kelly E. Buck Jr. and Kristine D. Buck, and family dog Tiger Buck all of Mobile, AL; one brother, Andre(Jackie)Buck of Frisco TX.; father and mother- in- law, Roosevelt and Harriett H. Lockett of Mobile, AL; a brother-in-law, Pierre Lockett of Chicago, IL; three sister- in- laws, Renee(Esmond) Wallerson of Garnerville, NY, Vanessa M. Lockett, and Gervasie(Alfred)Murphy of Mobile, AL.
His remains will lie in state on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5pm-8pm at Small’s Mortuary, 950 South Broad Street, Mobile, Alabama 36603. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 8am until the 9:20am Rosary. The Funeral Mass will be at 10am at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church, 304 Sengstak Street Mobile, AL 36603. Mr. Buck Sr. will be laid to rest in St. Rosa Lima Catholic Church Cemetery, Coden, AL In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Most Pure Heart of Mary School, 310 Sengstak Street, Mobile, Alabama 36603.
