Obituary for Kimberly Antonette Carter

Ms. Kimberly Antoinette Carter, affectionally known as “Kimmie” and “Tim” was born to the parentage of the late Rev. Richard (Gloria Pettaway) Carter on November 11, 1974 in Mobile, Al. She exchanged her earthly home to her heavenly home on November 6, 2020. Kim confessed Christ as her Lord and Saviour at the age of six years, and was baptized at Revelation Missionary Baptist under pastorage of the late Rev. Leon Taylor, Sr. and continued to serve in many capacities including Health Ministry , Care Team and member of Taylor Bible Class under the pastorage of Rev. David L. Frazier, Sr. She was also a member of Juliette #613 Order of Eastern Stars. She had a strong faith in God and loved her family unconditionally and all that she encountered. She was a great mother, cook and had a passion for baking sweets.
Kim graduated from McGill-Toolen High School in 1992 and The University of Mobile with B.S. degree in Sociology in 2001.
Kim was employed at FMC dialysis in her early years. Kim then went on to work for Mobile County DHR for more than twenty plus years as a Case Worker, Supervisor, then as the Mobile County DHR Trainer Coordinator.
Kim was predeceased by her father (Richard Carter), grandparents (LJ. And Emmer Pettaway, Elmore Carter Jr.), god-brother (Corren Murphy), god-sister (Shannon Pettaway) and 3 uncles (James Dixon, Ronald Pettaway, and Donald Pettaway).
Her memories will be forever cherished by her two devoted and loving heartbeats: Breylen Davon Carter- Pugh and Laila Alexis Minor. Loving and devoted mother Gloria P. Carter, loving sister Shameka Carter Crusoe. Nephews Keondre JaMicheal and Jakobe Micheal Crusoe, uncles Lewis (Marie) Pettaway, Robert (Ruth ) Pettaway, Jerry (Sharon ) Pettaway (also god-parents ), Rickey (Bridgette) Pettaway, Jesse (Jessica ) Pettaway, Troy (Wanda )Pettaway, Rayford (Genevieve ) Carter, aunts Louise Y. Padgett, Brenda (Larry) Mitchell of Chesapeake, VA., Geraldine (Solomon ) Bonner, Dianne (Edward) Murphy, Belinda (Calvin ) Williams, Janet Maye, Clara (Joe) Causey, Shelia Dixon, godparents Willie (Joyce) Roberson, god-brothers and god-sisters, devoted friends Estella (Rodney ) Lee, Larry Pugh, Tionna Dees , Erika Johnson, Sherri Sewell Hale, numerous cousins mentored co-workers and friends.
