Obituary for L Curtis

L. C. Curtis-- a native of Lisman, AL. and a resident of Mobile born June 20, 1932 to the late Simon and Carrie Curtis. A retired Longshoreman departed this life Saturday, May 26, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Curtis, daughter, Darnell Penn and grandson, Kendrix Curtis. He leaves to cherish his memories six daughters, one devoted and son-in-law, Williette (Ray) Johnson, Glenda (Owen) Wilson, Santa Clarita, CA, Luventrick (Roderick) Frison, Helen (Wesley) Young, Cinterretha Curtis, Lawana (Derrick) McGee, all of Mobile and mother-in-law, Mattie Brown, Lisman, AL. three brothers and sisters, two brothers and sisters-in-law, thirteen grands, one devoted, Charm Curtis, fifteen great-grands, a host of lovely nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, one devoted Ms. Lula Clark. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, June 1, 2007 from 1-8pm and Saturday, June 2, 2007 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, Chinquapin St. Rev. John D. Haston, pastor. Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, AL.
