Obituary for Laura Mae Nobles (Carlton)
On Sunday, January 10, 2021 God answered the request of one of his children. Laura Mae Carlton Nobles was born July 25, 1930 in Lower Peach Tree, Alabama to the late Jimmy and Bessie Carlton. She was married to the late Ezell Nobles in 1949.
Laura Mae accepted Christ at an early age at Saint Thomas AME Church in Lower Peach Tree. After he moved to Ohio, she joined Providence Baptist Church. She later moved back to Mobile, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her son, Harold Nobles; two sisters: Gussie Bright and Willie Gray Cleveland; six brothers: Johnnie Arnett Jones, Lindsey Lewis and Floyd Carlton.
Laura Mae leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving son, Dale Nobles; two grandsons: Douglas and Brett Nobles of Ohio and California; two great-grandsons; one brother, Winfred Carlton of Mobile, Alabama; two sisters-in-law: Velma Carlton of Lower Peach Tree, Alabama and Annie Carlton of Mobile, Alabama; daughter-in-
law, Gladys Nobles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
