Obituary

LaVoyd Lucas was born April 15, 1949 to the late David and Virginia Lucas in Dallas County, Alabama. He was a resident of Mobile, AL for 64 years. He was the first of six children and was a 1967 graduate of Trinity Gardens High School in Mobile, AL. He confessed Christ later in life and was married to Daphne McCall Lucas for 49 years.

He was a member of Mount Hebron Church Ministries for 35 years, where he formerly served as Chairman of the Trustee Board and most recently served as the teacher of the Senior Adult Sunday School class. He retired from Rolls Royce Naval Marine (Pascagoula, MS) in 2010 after 25 years of employment. He was an avid fisherman, gardener & crocheter. Hi Daphne I know we have not seen or been in touch with each other in years, but I just heard today about LaVoyd. I am so Very, very sorry for your loss. Scripture tells us that Absent from the body, is Present with the Lord, so we know that LaVoyd is in good hands. My family and I will most certainly keep you and your family in our Prayers. May God continue to Bless you and your family.
