Mother Leanna Smith was born in Clarke County, Alabama on July 15, 1928 to the late Henry Leon Marshall and Flora Fuller Marshall. She was a long life resident of Mobile, Alabama and exchanged this life from labor to reward on Thursday, September 21, 2017.

A devout member and National Mother of the Spiritual Power Church in Jesus Name.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Leon Marshall and Flora Fuller Marshall; husband, Bishop Felix Smith; son, Bishop Jimmie E. Smith, Sr.; brother, Elijah Marshall; two sisters, Carrie Deed and Flora Marshall; and daughter-in-law, Voncile Smith.

Her precious memories will be forever cherished by her eleven devoted children: Bill (Lulu) Smith, Elder Ralph Smith, Bishop John (Elder Sis. Chancey) Smith, Bishop Sylvester (Carolyn) Smith, Evangelist Leroy (Evangelist Martha) Smith, Felix (Sharon) Smith, Bertha (Keith) Ford, Wanda Smith (caregiver), Gloria Sullivan, Rosita (Overseer Jerome) Agee, Cynthia (Roderick) Meadows; thirty-two grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends, Rosie Smith(best friend)

Her remains will lie in state on Friday, September 29, 2017, from 1-8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, Alabama.

Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 9am until the 11am “Homegoing Celebration” at Spiritual Power Church In Jesus Christ, 1832 Bearfork Road, Whistler, Alabama, Bishop Sylvester Smith, officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane North Cemetery, Eight Mile, Alabama.
