Obituary for Leslie Bernard Stone Jr.

Leslie Bernard Stone, Jr., born on December 2, 1995, brought so much joy to his parents, Leslie Bernard Stone, Sr. and Sharon Craig, grandparents and entire family.
A native of Mobile, AL, Bernard transitioned from his earthly life on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2020. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leslie Stone, Sr.
Bernard, affectionately known as “Lil’ Nard and Nard”, was baptized at First Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church at a young age. A 2014, honor graduate of Murphy High School, Bernard attended Auburn University at Montgomery and the University of South Alabama in pursuit of an Engineering degree. Bernard was employed with ArcelorMittal “AM/NS” where he worked as a logistics operator. He was a knowledgeable welder as he embraced the skilled while assisting his grandfather in the family business; Nard was also a rising entrepreneur branding a message around “focus”.
A loving young man with a heart of gold, Nard shared a contagious smile with everyone he encountered. A man of great integrity and hon-or, he loved being among family and enjoying fun time with his siblings and cousins. He also had a kind and nurturing spirit as he had such patience for children and the elderly.
Bernard, leaves his cherished memory with his loving and devoted parents: Leslie Bernard (Jasmine) Stone, Sr., and Sharon “Nae” (Demetrius Prim) Craig; his loving siblings and grandparents: Deavon, Nyla, Dylan, Logan and Londyn; step-siblings: Demeria and Demetrius; (grandparents) Rose Mary Stone, Walter Craig and Gloria Jean “Grams” Craig; aunts and uncles: Plez & Chante’ (Stone) Hendrix, Sr., Gladys Powell and Angela Craig; and a host of great uncles and aunts.
Nard’s fun and spirited laughter will be cherished by his first cousins: Plez “PJ” (like a brother), Olivia Paige, Tommy “Man", Kim, Jeanise and Alyssa. He also leaves his memory with a host of other family, friends, AM/NS co-workers and his furry friend Zero.
