On December 20, 2022 - The Angels of God whispered: "Lucious, come now and take your rest.”

Deacon Lucious Peter Jones, III was born May 15, 1943 to the union of Lucious Peter and Ola Mae Jones, Jr. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Lucious accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age, and joined Lily Baptist Church. He was a devoted member where he proudly served as a Deacon. He faithfully served until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucious Peter and Ola Mae Jones, Jr.; brothers: Derick Jones and Clarence Jones.
Lucious leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted son, Rodney Jones; sisters: Gwendolyn Smith, Lauretta Ponquinette and Debra (Marvin) Perkins of San Antonio, TX; brothers: Reverend David Jones and Adrain Jones of San Antonio, TX; a host of relatives, cousins and friends.

When sadness fills our days.
