Obituary for Lynn Snell-January Sister

Sister Azalene (Lynn) Snell January - born in Coy Alabama to Ms. Hattie Snell and Mr. Henry Ervin on July 15, 1944, peacefully exchanged this life for eternity on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at her residence. Her loving family was by her side. Sister January resided in Pennsylvania for many years and was a faithful and longtime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She recently moved to Mobile, AL to be close to her family during her illness. She then joined New Generation Church under the leadership of Dr. Charles Dent. Sister January graduated from St. John General Hospital School of Nursing in 1971. She worked as a surgical nurse at Pinnacle Health, in Harrisburg, PA for 30 years. She also served in the United States Army and was honorably discharge in 1985. Sister January's precious memories are cherished by a host of loved ones and friends. Her mother, Mrs. Hattie Davidson; one daughter, Mrs. Kari (Adrian) Mayers; four sisters, Mrs. Alberta (Leon) Robinson, Mrs. Shirley (Roger) Lang, Ms. Joann Davidson, and Mrs. Juanita Watkins all of Mobile, AL. Three brothers: Mr. Johnny Davidson, of Mobile, AL, Mr. Leonard Davidson of Detroit, Michigan and Mr. John Ervin of Cleveland, Ohio. Five grandchildren: Amir, Kuasim, Adrian, Kerrion, Ahmad. A host of nephews, and nieces, Five devoted; Ms. Shundreka Davidson, Ms. Tiffany Williams, Ms. Flora Bilbo, Mrs. Brenda Pugh and Ms. Marsha Bilbo. Two God children: Kaylon Watkins and Kayla Luckett. Three devoted friends: Mrs. Thelma White, Mrs. Leeann Clarke, of Harrisburg, PA.and Ms. Wanda Luckett of Detroit, Michigan; her church family of 40 years, Tabernacle Baptist Church of Harrisburg, PA. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Friday, August 10, 2007 from 1-8 p.m. and Saturday, August 11, 2007 at New Generation Church, 1350 N. Cody Road, Mobile, AL after 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour. Interment in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens., Special thanks to Odyssey Hospice Nurses, Mrs. Lynn Mason and Maria Ezell and staff.
