Obituary for Madelyne Ann Dixon

Madelyne A. Dixon transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Friday May14, 2021 at a local nursing facility.



Born to the late John Henry Dixon, Sr. and Julia Mae Kennedy Dixon in Manhattan, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Hattie B. Dixon, John H. Dixon, Jr. and her grandson, Dulce Richardson.



She relocated and became a resident of Eight Mile, AL in 2019. She confessed Christ at an early age at the Greater Zion Baptist Church in Bronx, NY. Her father instilled the value of family ties, their summers involved road trips from New York to Choctaw, AL and Bessemer, AL where the families roots began. She enjoyed having the freedom of country living, farming and numerous relatives to glean from. Madelyne had a spirit of giving and a smile for a bonus. She will be surely missed.


Cherishing her precious memories are one son; Daimone (Jenna Koons)Dixon Richardson, of FL , two grandsons, Daimone Richardson, Jr.of AL, Daijen Koons, of FL, her loving and devoted brother, Julius (Pauletta) Dixon, of AL , three nieces; Natasha (Mike) Burrell, LeVonne (David) Dixon of NY, Ursula (T.J.) Jordan, of , AL five nephews; Lester (Norma) Dixon, of VA, Echo Dixon, of NY, Julius (Tiffany) Dixon, of CT , Vashawn Dixon & Kasey Gildersleeve, M.D. of TX, a host of great nieces, newphews, cousins and other beloved relatives and friends.


A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 @ 6:00 p.m.
