Mrs. Marion Ruth Ware Hardy, born August 31, 1924 to the union of Horace Ware and Eva Mae Moody, departed this life on Sunday May 24, 2020. Mrs. Hardy was a native of Jackson, AL and a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL. Singing was her passion. She was a faithful member of St Paul AME Church where she was a member of the senior choir. She was preceded in death by her parents; a devoted husband of 40 years, James N. Hardy Sr.; a son Arthur Lee Hardy; a son-in-law Anthony W. Burden Sr and a brother Leslie Ware. She is survived by four sons, Charles N. Hardy (Jackie), James N. Hardy Jr. (Barbara), Maurice Hardy (Sandra) of Mobile, AL, Reginald D. Hardy (Geraldine) Ackworth, GA; two daughters Fannie Burden, Mary Elizabeth Hardy of Mobile, AL. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, thirteen great great grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends, two devoted friends Jean Washington and May Ruth Jones Isom.
