Obituary for Martha Nash
Martha Ann Miller Nash -- affectionately known as "Tea"; -- slipped through the veil of this life for eternal glory on Nov. 18, 2022. She died peacefully at the home of a loving family member who brought her to Detroit, Michigan, New Year's Eve 2021 in hopes of aiding her recovery. Tea was 97 years old, a few months shy of her birthday on January 5th.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur Miller and Laura "Lottie"; Smith Mason; her husband of 67 years, Hamilton "Hamp" Nash; her daughter Helen Nash Bozeman; great-grandson Karter Caver; and a host of dearly departed siblings and close relatives.
She is survived by her grand-daughter Kenyata (James) Caver; brother Archie (Linda) Mason of Arlington, TX; devoted nephew Ray (Elizabeth) Tunstall; devoted nieces Doris (Bobby) Stowe and Gloria Jean Thompson of Detroit, MI; devoted friend, caretaker and church member Flora Webb; five great-grandchildren; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives; many devoted friends; and church members of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church.
