Mattie B. Houston Riggins, age 91 and a resident of Whistler, Al., departed her earthly life Wednesday, October 2, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Riggins Sr. and parents, Viola McCaskey and Monroe Wallace. She is survived by 13 children; 28 grandchildren; 52 great-grands; 3 great-great grands; one brother, two sisters, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Riggins will lie in state on Thursday, October, 10, 2019 at Small’s, Mobile, from 1pm to 8pm. A visitation will be held on Friday, October, 11, 2019 at Antioch Baptist Church from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral hour. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
