Melvin Issias Parker Sr. born November 10th, 1945. He was the baby boy born to Mabel King and Saint James Parker. He attended Williamson High School where he graduated the year of 1964. In April 1966, he enlisted into the United States Army as a sharpshooter, and he received three medals: Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.In September 1969, Melvin married Ernestine Kirksey which ended in divorce several years later. From that union, they bore three children: Toska Jones, Kimberly Jones (Micheal Jones), Melvin I. Parker Jr. (Denise Parker). Another son was born years later, Trenton Whitfield. Melvin was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He departed from this world the morning of June 16th, 2020. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Melvin leaves cherished memories to his sister, Brenda Parker; children: Toska Jones, Kimberly Jones (Micheal Jones), Melvin I. Parker Jr. (Denise Parker), Trenton Whitfield; grandchildren: Da'Arieus Parker, La'Quarius Parker, Da'Tarius Parker, Chaz Parker, Chayce Parker, Jay Bend Jr.; great grandchildren: Ariell Parker, Trenton Parker, Arieus Parker; many nieces and nephews; and a host of beloved relatives and friends, as well as a devoted caretaker and long time family friend, Christine Timmons
