Obituary for Michael Bernard Scott

Michael Bernard Scott, a native of Mobile, Alabama was born November 13, 1956 to the late Henry Patterson, Sr. and Annie Lou Scott. He passed away in the early hours on Friday, February 26, 2021 at his residence.
Michael confessed his sins and gave his life to Christ. He has been a devoted servant to our Lord our Savior. He was a member of First Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a faithful member on the usher board until his health started to decline. He was a spiritual man that participated in many church activities.
Michael was a loving husband and father. He was a problem-solver and awesome listener that took on difficult tasks to help others. He will be deeply and sadly missed by all those who had a chance to experience him as a born again Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Patterson, Sr. and Annie Lou Scott; sisters: Anita Scott and Rose Simon; and brothers: Willie E. Scott and Jim Henry Scott.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Wilhelmina Scott; devoted children: a son, Corwin Scott; a daughter, Shameka (Alvin) Smith; and stepson, Darryl (Denise) Brown all of Mobile, AL; three sisters: Dorothy Williams, Annie Jewel Horn of California, LA and Ruby Lee Scott; three brothers: Henry Patterson, Jr. of Tacoma WA, Richard Scott of Detroit, MI and Edward (Linda) Patterson; eight grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends: one devoted friend, Paul Gamble.
