Obituary for Minnie Queen White

On May 5, 2020, the White Family circle was broken when the Angels of Heaven called Mrs. Minnie Queen White and she answered, Yes Lord, I’m ready to take flight to my Heavenly Home.
Mrs. Minnie Queen White was born on September 22, 1937, in Putnam, Alabama, to the late Esau and Annie Blanks. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Gooden Hill Baptist Church and served faithfully. Her loving spiritual light touched the hearts of many while being a servant for the Lord, serving in the Choir, Missionary, Order of Eastern Stars, Usher Board, Deaconess, and finally a Minister’s Wife. She became a resident of Mobile, Alabama, when her health failed. She received her wings to Heaven in a local hospital.
She united in marriage to Rev. James G. White on May 4, 1957, and on May 4, 2020, they made 63 years. They were blessed with 12 children. Mrs. White is preceded in death by her son, Charlie (Chazz Man) James White; her parents; four sisters and three brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving husband, Rev. James G. White; eight daughters: Estella (Charles) Pharr, Mobile, AL, Doris Ankrah, East Orange, NJ, Lorraine, Carolyn, Jenneice, and Cynthia White of Mobile, AL, Queen (Connie) Smith, Jr of Montevallo, AL, Adrian White of McCalla, AL; three sons, Jonathan White of East Orange, NJ, Ronald (Shaunda Gifford) White of Rahway, NJ and Shawn White of Montgomery, AL; one daughter-in law, Chiquita White of Detroit, MI; twenty one grandchildren, of whom five she raised and received their start under her wings – Sidney, Shakaira, Shamekia, Arielle, and Damion; and sixteen great grandchildren. A devoted friend that she called her adopted sister, Mrs. Bernice Gaines. A host of devoted nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
