Odessa Mitchell-Simms resident of Mobile, Alabama born June 17, 1942, and departed this life on Monday, November 18, 2019.
Preceded in death by her grandparents Leon and Amanda Mitchell, her mother Mattie Jackson Rayford, sisters Rosie Lee Murphlee, Annie Wilkes, and brother George Rayford.
She leaves to cherish her memories, seven children; Willie (Angelia) Simms, Corey (Brandi) Simms, Patrick Simms (and companion Wanda Hackett), Mattie Simms, Leon Simms (and companion Octavia Sutton) , Christopher Simms, Patricia (Jimmie) Mitchell, and a devoted niece Dorothy (Jimmie) Welch... three brothers, Jesse (Lisa) Rayford, Robert Rayford, Herny Rayford, seven sisters, Lou Ida (Robert) Washington, Lillian (Sylvester) Trotter, Barbara Richardson, Helen (Joseph) Philon, Brenda Rayford, Elnora Rayford, and Juanita
