Obituary

Minister Pamaler Porter Norwood January 23, 1972 – April 13, 2019
“Pam” as she was affectionately called, departed this life on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital. She possessed and demonstrated exceptional character, integrity and faith in God. She loved and was in love with her friend of 7 years and he became her husband of 21 years. She devoted her life to her family and friends. She was the epitome of a virtuous woman and was honest to a fault. She spent her life putting others before her and had the ability to look beyond flaws and faults in others to see the good. She loved her church and her pastor. She accepted the Lord as her savior and was called into the ministry. She acknowledged her call into the Gospel Ministry on April 2, 2014 and preached her initial sermon July 20, 2014. She was a faithful servant and believed God until the very end of life’s journey,

My last Memory was at a Family & Friends Service about two years ago. Evangelist Norwood was doing what she loved doing; serving others after the service. We spoke and hugged and I notices she looked a little tired and I asked her what was wrong and she said; " I am tired, but I'll be alright!" We continued to talk and after knowing her for a few years, we said more to each other then than we ever had. She was a Jewel and she really loved the Lord. She had the gift of singing and could lead a Devotion that would stir the Congregation which took them higher in the Lord! I am going to miss you dearly, but you are with the Lord singing in his heavenly Choir and assisting Our Lord and Saviour with Devotion and serving whereever needed. "Rest in Heaven My Dear."

To my Family She was the best Sister Friend anyone could ask for. Even though I move to another State . I would hit her up and she would all way say you know when to pop up. And we both would laugh are I would catch her and Pastor Cleveland on live fishing are just hanging out with thier church family enjoying the Lord. I first met Pam at Christway and we just connected and became close. I would be at her door every morning telling her my problems. And she would listen and say let's go for a ride and that was her way of taking my mind off of what was going on in my life at the time. She was a wonderful mom and wife and friend. She was an Angel here on earth and now she has her wings. I know she will watch over me and direct me to do right. She didn't pretend to be any one but her self when you talked with her she listen and know one else knew what you talked about at all. She was good to my Dad as well. Always had a smile on her face no matter what she mad you laugh when you wanted to cry. She wouldn't hold you up in your wrong she just was an Angel and I will forever love her and miss her pretty smile. Heaven got thier Angel.
