Obituary for Patricia A Kennedy
Sister Patricia Ann Clarke Kennedy, a native of Monroe County and a resident of Mobile, Alabama for 58 years, was born to the parentage of Robert Taylor Clarke, Sr. and Lula Pearl Clarke Collins on Saturday, the 24th day of June, 1961 in the year of our Lord. She exchanged time for eternity (unexpectedly) on Tuesday, the 30th of April in the 2019th year of our Lord.
She graduated from Toulminville High School, the Home of the Mightly Rattlers Class of 1979, were she was elected as Miss Toulminville and Most Popular. She attended Bishop State Community College and Indiana State University. She returned home and enlisted in the United States Army in 1984, serving in the 76410 Unit as a Supply Specialist. She went into the Reserve Component Personnel upon completion of MDS Training from 1985-1992.
Sister Kennedy worked at the International Paper Company for seven (7) years until closing. She also worked as a poll worker in Chickasaw, Alabama, Greer’s Cash Saver, Kensington Health and Rehabilitation Center and Piggly Wiggly as a security guard for many years. While working there she was also employed with the Mobile Cruise Terminal.
Sister Patricia Kennedy encountered the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age at Mount Olive Baptist Church #1 under Pastor A. J. Stokes where she sung in the choir. Later she became a member of the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Norvel Glover. She served as an active and faithful member of the #2 Usher Board.
She was preceded in death by her father: Robert T. Clarke, Sr; mother: Lula P. Clarke Collins; brothers: Tony A. Clarke and Minister Robert T. Clarke; and her sister: Linda M. White.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories a devoted son: Ezra Kennedy, III; one granddaughter: McKenzie Renee French of Mobile, AL; one stepson: Deandre (Andrina) Green of Los Angeles, CA; three sisters: Rosie Marie C (Jesse) Crook of Saraland, AL, Lowonda Meashell Clarke of Mobile, AL , and Gloretta Collins of Chickasaw, AL; one brother: Vincent (Marion) Collins of Mobile, AL; one brother-in-law: Charles White of Mobile, AL; one godsister: Elizabeth Wright of Mobile, AL; two god-brothers: Levis Wright, Jr. of Mobile, AL and Fitzgerald (Lucy) Wright of Chickasaw, AL; twenty-one nieces and nephews: Rodmesia Clarke of Nashville, TN, Conderidge Clarke, Toni Dale, Samantha Calhoun, Jasmine and Cameron Wright, Twyla and Marlos Parrish, Brandon White. Jennifer Rogers, Shaquita Hill, Vincent Collins, Chandon Collins all of Mobile, AL, Lakendra Clarke of Birmingham, AL, Jeshua Crook of Saraland, AL, Sierra Green, Venshun Dale and D’Javon Collins all of Huntsville, AL, Brounson Black of Mt. Veron, AL; one family pet: Alex; two devoted cousins: Shirley Coker and Winfred Stallworth of Mobile, AL; a host of great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, other cousins, close relatives and friends- near and far that are too numerous to name.
