Obituary for Patrick Laverne Tate

Patrick Laverne Tate, 49, of Forney, Texas, was born on February 2nd 1973 to Joyce Marie Tate in Mobile, Alabama. He attened Le Flore High School where he graduated in 1991 and joined the United States Marine Corps from November 1991 to November 1995 when he was honorably discharged. After two years he enlisted into the United States Army where he served from September of 1997 til September of 2013 when he retired. During his time in the military he traveled the world, met and worked alongside many comrades who he would call his friends. After retiring from the military, Patrick recieved his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at University of Phoenix.

He met Kennis Jones, and they wed in 2000 and divorced in 2015 but still remained close friends. Patrick Laverne Tate departed this life on May 21, 2022. Patrick was predeceased in death by his grandmother who raised him, Ruby Gray Tate and his Uncle, Larry Tate. He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Joyce Marie Tate; his 3 siblings: Kuwana Tate, Frederick Tate, and Kena Tate; 4 children: Chandler Jones, Bryanna Brown, Marquel Tate, and Cameron Jones; his nephew, who he raised, Frederick Tate, his Aunts and uncles: Charles Tate, Howard Tate, Willie James Tate, James Tate, Freddie Tate, Irma Hall, Loretta Tate, Linda Tate, and Herman Wonzy; 7 neices and nephews; his honorable brother, Frank Forney, and a host of friends and family.

Patrick was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Patrick was unendingly proud of each and every single one of his children and always did his best to support them. Patrick was a very social person and would often be found talking to many people, hence, his many friends. His phone was never silent. Patrick loved to traveled and lived his life to the fullest. He wasn't perfect but he did his best till the very end.

Anyone who knew Patrick knew that he was the most loving father, husband, friend, and comrade
