Obituary for Paulette Louise Hendricks-Shepherd

Paulette Louise Hendricks Shepherd was born on Sunday, December 2, 1951 to the parentage of the late Lucille Hendricks and Clemmon Dennis in Mobile, Alabama.

On Monday, June 13, 2022, our Precious Jewel was called home to be with her Lord and Savior at her residence with her family by her side. Paulette received the greatest grace of eternal peace, where there is no sadness or tears. She confessed her love for Christ at an early age and was united with Prince of Peace Catholic Church and later in life she fellowshipped with Harvest Church in Mobile, Alabama.

Paulette attended Central High School and furthered her education at Bishop State Community College in Mobile, Alabama. She was employed by Alta Pointe as a behavioral specialist until retirement. Paulette loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She loved entertaining, gardening, arts & crafts, shopping and traveling. She had an outgoing personality and gave love and happiness to each life she touched.

Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille Hendricks and Clemmon Dennis; and husband, Vietnam Veteran, Willie James Shepherd.

Paulette’s life and memories are cherished and loved by her three devoted sons Terryal Hendricks, Thaddeus (Tiesha) Shepherd and Torrence (Ashley) Shepherd, Sr.; siblings, Brenda Hendricks, Herbert (Josephine) Bracy, Kathy Bracy, Cassandra Hendricks, Michael Hendricks, Derrick (Shannon) Hendricks and AnnQuinette Hendricks; grandchildren, Laterrica (Arthur) Lett, Jessica Molette, Kaylah Hendricks, Torrence “TJ” Shepherd, Jr., and Tristan Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Andre Woodard, Jr., Lyrica Curry, Jikirea Molette, Ashanti Molette, Kemoni Molette, Larry
Taylor, Jr., Laurryn Taylor and Raegan Washington; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousin and friends, two devoted, Ronald Crear and Deborah Craig.

Paulette will always be remembered and loved by those she was blessed to cross paths with. Family was important to her. As we continue on with this journey, we must remember what she taught us and carry on the torch and continue her legacy
of love.
