Obituary for Portia Trenette Dandridge

Portia Trenette (Nickerson) Dandridge was born April 27,1973 to Vivian Barren McCovey and Larry D. Lett, Sr. She was the only child in this union.
Portia departed this life on December 21, 2020 at Springhill Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her father Larry D. Lett, Sr. and brother Larry D. Lett, Jr.
Portia was a licensed Realtor for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Cooper & Co Inc., in Mobile, AL.
Portia was a member of Rightly Dividing the Word Church of God in Mobile, AL for over 25 years where she served as an usher and previously on the adult dance ministry, Total Praise. She never met a stranger and she had the unique ability to make everyone she met feel like her best friend. She was a great friend, advisor, and just a happy person with an infectious smile. She will truly be missed.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Eugene Dandridge and son Micah Dandridge. She was also blessed to be in a blended family with siblings on both sides: Larry D. Lett, Jr., Serlina (Edward) Jones, Antonio Lett, Odis Fralin, Latosha (Demetrius) Johnson, Princess (Travis) Miller, Mario (Lindsey) Anderson, Princeton McCovey, Kedrick Arnold, Paris McCovey, Kendall (Tiffiny) Arnold, and William Arnold. She was the aunt to a host of nieces and nephews. Portia had a host of cousins and extended family. She was very close to cousins: Ivie (Terrell) Bush, Denesia (Shaw) McCants, and uncle Edwin (Alfreda) Nickerson, Sr. She was the Godmother to Danielle Tucker, Edwin (Jay) Nickerson, Jr., and Daniel Burrell
