Obituary for Raymond Jones
Raymond Jones 48, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on 27 March 2022. The sun rose and the world welcomed Raymond on November 16, 1973, a day the world became a little brighter. He lived an energetic and spontaneous life, filled with kindness, joy and laughter. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Raymond is a native of Daphne, Alabama where he was raised and attended Daphne High School. He began a career as a brick mason for Mas-Co Inc. for over 20 years building shopping centers, schools and hospitals. A very faithful and dedicated employee.
Raymond was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Outside of his occupation he was one of the best “Shade Tree Mechanics” in the city. Often lending his expertise to assist anyone that needed car repairs. He enjoyed building engines, racing cars and going to the track.
Raymond leaves to cherish his memories one daughter; Rayvan Jones of Mobile, AL; his parents, Aaron Jones and Claudine Jones of Spanish Fort, AL; one sister, Felita (Pastor Hewitt) Ballard of Schertz, TX; grandmother, Leanna Alphonse, of Daphne, AL; one niece, Adrianna Ballard; seven aunts, Linda Williams, Mildred (Milton) Strother, Bernice (Kenneth) Robinson, Josie Jones, Gloria Barrow, Annice Sledge, and Bernice Jones; three uncles, James(Velma)Jones, Horace (Diane) Jones, Carliss (Linda) Alphonse and a host of other relatives and friends. He had two devoted friends; Tim Johnson and Anthony Dumas. Raymond is also survived by his estranged wife, Nicole Jones.
