Obituary for Reuben Bell Nickels

Reuben Bell Nickels, was born September 28, 1938 to the late Rev. Frank and Irene Nickels. Reuben attended Central High School, and later transferred to Heart of Mary, Catholic School, where he graduated, and continued his education at numerous of colleges. He exchanged time of eternity on Friday, June 19, 2020. Accepting Christ at an early age at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. Reuben was a longtime member at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in his passing. Reuben Bell Nickels, was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Frank and Irene Nickels, Brothers, David Nickles and Frank (P. C.) George, Sisters Daisy Lowe, Rebecca Nickels Davis, Ella Mae Murry, and Agatha Harville. Granddaughter Allegra Nickels Brown.
Reuben was united in marriage to the late Elnora Nickels Burrell. He later united in marriage to Belinda Franklin Nickels. He leaves to cherish four daughters, Carolyn (Lee) Cox, Mobile, AL, Chantel (Horace) Henley, Power Springs, GA, Monique Turner, Northport, AL, and Alexandra Byrd, Fayette, MS. Two sons Trent (Beth) Nickels, Tafton, PA and Sean Nickels, ATL, GA. Two brothers Willie (Nellie) James, Altadena, CA. Jonathan (Janet) Nickles of Newport News, VA. 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren. Devoted Niece Elizabeth “Vicki” Lowe. Devoted Friend Napoleon McCormick. A Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
