Obituary for Rev. Richard L Williams

Reverend Richard L. Williams, a native of Mobile, Alabama was born to the union of the late James and Clematine Williams on June 2, 1937.
He graduated from Mobile County Training School. He served in the United States Air Force until April 22, 1963 when he was honorable discharged. Reverend Williams was a police officer for the City of Mobile until he started working for Roadway Express where he retired from. He graduated from Oakdale Bible College. He served as an Assistant Pastor at St. Joseph Baptist Church for fifteen years under Pastor Elijah Carlise. He also was a faithful member of Lily Baptist Church where he served as an Assistant Pastor and also a member of the Men Bible Class for many years until his illness.
He was preceded in death his parents, James and Clematine Williams; one brother, Marion Williams;
Reverend Williams entered his heavenly home on Sunday, February 7, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of sixty years, Edwina Williams of Mobile, AL; two daughters: Linda Jefferson of Mobile, AL and Noel Dubose of Georgia; three sons: Earl (Mary) Lovett of Long Beach, CA, Reginald (Pamela) Mack of Mobile, AL and Michael (Terrie) Williams of Pontiac, MI; eight grandchildren: Reginald (Juliana) Wilkerson, Phadra (Richard) Hooker, Yketta Mack, Deanna (Myron) Gable, Vanessa Mack, Michael Williams, Jr., Ronald Dubose and Saporia Dubose; sixteen great-grandchildren, nine great great-grandchildren; three sisters: Smenia (Ocar) Stokes, Rosena Williams and Irene Lawson all of Georgia; one sister-in-law, Sarah Williams of South Carolina; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
